First, download and
install WS_FTP™ LE
from Ipswitch.
Then, enter the information about your account using the pictures
below as a reference.
These instructions are specific for Ws-ftp.
Select Ws-FTP in the
program menu.
The host/name address
should be: www.nightowl.net
The host type should be set on automatic detect. The
user name should be
the users login id. The password is also the same as
the login password.
Click on the OK button.

- After logging in, you should see a split
window with your local
directory on the left. On the right side is a listing of the
remote
directory.
- Choose the file that you wish to
upload. Click on the
arrow in the center of the window that is pointing to the remote
directory side.
Click on the arrow. After a few seconds the file should appear on the
remote directory.
This action should be accompanied by a sound effect. *****NOTE: your
homepage must be
named index.html*****
- To view your web site, open your
browser. The address would
be http://www.nightowl.net/~logon-name. If you want to view a specific file, the URL is
http://www.nightowl.net/~logon-name/file.name
