When you are in the depths of depression, feeling excruciating pain and nearly totally lacking in self-confidence, then you can have an advantage if you can perceive what is happening.
As you experience and learn from your experiences, struggling out of these circumstances. your life can be filled to its limit and you can then build your life more solidly. Somewhere during each of these experiences, you will discover that some outside force has helped you rise out of the valley of your experience. You will then better understand the sovereignty of the God of Existence as well as your own sovereignty.
Advantaged is whoever realizes that he or she is an integral part of Existence -- of the stars and the sun and the moon and Humanity and the Earth -- and realizes that all of this is given to all and to each as a natural inheritance with all of the responsibilities attached. That person is completely lacking in egotism and can take with quiet acceptance not only the hurt that others continually give out, but also can take the fate that God lays in that person's path.
Advantaged is whoever is consolatory toward others and is deeply and noticeably sorrowful for the plight and problems of others. That person will not only see those others receive consolation, but will also receive consolation when it is needed.
Advantaged is whoever is filled to the brim with justice and equity and is continually starving and thirsting to see others receive such. That person will not only see others receive full justice and equity, but will receive personally what is sought for others.
Advantaged is whoever feels the plight of others, equating it to his or her own troubles and is completely compassionate toward them. That person will see compassion expressed toward others as well as receive it.
Advantaged are those who can see the God -- the deity and the sanctity -- in others. Their feelings toward others are genuine.
Advantaged are those who come to the realization that they are children of Existence. They will make extreme effort to avoid conflict and attempt to utilize all peaceful means possible in the resolution of differences.
Advantaged are those who possess an attitude of higher Spiritual Realms. Those people, although treated unfairly by others, will still treat those others fairly and equitably.
Advantaged are those who are insulted and slandered on account of those who are mine. These persons can be ecstatic because they will be remunerated fully. Many others who have given us great teachings have also been injured by that same relentless pack of wolves that opposes equitable things.
The acquisition and building of these attitudes transforms those who possess them into islands of flavor in an ocean of blandness. Their lives are enriched so that they, in turn, can add flavor to the world. But if the flavoring is gone flat, how can its flavor be regained? Having gone flat, the flavoring is good for nothing and must be thrown out to be trodden in the dust.
